Prima Materia has extra crush capacity for projects up to 10-tons. Contact us to talk about creative arrangements if you have unsold Lake County or Mendocino fruit, private label,  or custom crush needs. This is hands-on winemaking - no interns, double sorting, cold room barrel fermentations, or fancy equipment paid for by some rich tech daddy. We make consistent 90+ point wines through hard work and serious attention to detail.

We are particularly good with:

  • Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon

  • Rhone Reds

  • Most Italian cultivars, even cool climate

  • Pinot Noir in the Burgundian style

  • We are not set up for reductive whites (SB) or whole-cluster pressing
